First experimental signature (Mourik et al., 2012) consistent with Majorana zero modes, in a hybrid superconductor-semiconductor nanowire device -- a zero-bias conductance peak matching theoretical predictions, though not yet unambiguous proof (a genuinely still-debated point in the field, distinct from the topological-insulator or graphene cases where the experimental confirmation is uncontested).
