High-Temperature Superconductivity

Discovery of superconductivity at 35K in a La-Ba-Cu-O ceramic (Bednorz & Muller, 1986) -- far above any previously known superconductor and the first cuprate superconductor -- ending a decades-long search for higher-Tc materials confirmed as real, on-topic precedent literature via OpenAlex noise test (1968-1982). Bednorz and Muller won the 1987 Nobel Prize, remarkably within a year of publication.
